It is important to get your prescribed treatment by calling your doctor or calling 1-800-222-1222.
This medication is available only with your doctor's prescription.
Common side effects include: • Headache • Fatigue • Mood changes • Changes in appetite • Increased urination • Swallowing trouble • Change in sex drive • Swallowing problems • Vision changes • Numbness • Muscle pain • Tiredness • Unusual changes in sex drive • Skin rash • Allergic reactions • Swelling in face, lips, mouth, or throat, or any unusual changes in menstrual periods or the menstrual period.

If you forget to take CELEBREX, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose.
If you think you have taken too much CELEBREX, get medical help right away. In case of overdose, call your doctor or poison control center. If you have any questions, ask your health care provider first.
Do not use CELEBREX if you are allergic to any CELEBREX or if you are taking aspirin or other medications containing ASA. Do not use CELEBREX if you are allergic to: • NSAIDs • H2-receptor antagonists • HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors • Ipecac AC, L-carnitine, or N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) • Metoprolol • Melatonin • Peyronie's disease • St John's wort • Sarcotide • or sulfonylureas • or sulfonylureas containing medications (see "What else should I know about CELEBREX?").
Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
CELEBREX 200MG CAPSULE contains Celecoxib which belongs to group of medicines called Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. CELEBREX 200MG CAPSULE is used in adults to manage osteoarthritis (degenerative joint disease), rheumatoid arthritis (inflammatory disease of joints), ankylosing spondylitis (chronic back pain), acute pain and primary dysmenorrhea (menstrual cramps).
CELEBREX 200MG CAPSULE is also used to manage juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (in children aged 2 years and above).
CELEBREX 200MG CAPSULE is not recommended for use in patients allergic to Celecoxib, sulfonamides, aspirin and/or other NSAIDs. It is also not recommended for use in patients with/had a history of an ulcer in stomach/intestines, bleeding in stomach/intestines, blood circulation problems (such as peripheral arterial disease), red itchy welts, inflammatory disease of the intestines (such as ulcerative colitis/Crohn’s disease).
The medicine is also not indicted for use in patients suffering from lung problems (such as asthma), heart diseases (such as heart failure, recent heart attack, heart block), severe liver disease (such as advanced hepatic insufficiency) and/or kidney disease (such as advanced renal insufficiency).
Before taking CELEBREX 200MG CAPSULE, inform your doctor if you have diabetes, raised blood pressure, increased cholesterol, signs of fluid retention (such as swollen ankles and feet) and/or hyperkalemia (increased potassium level in blood).
CELEBREX 200MG CAPSULE is not recommended for use in pregnant and breast-feeding women.
CELEBREX 200MG CAPSULE should be used with caution in children and adolescents (aged 2 to 17 years) to manage only juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and is advised to be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years/above) after consulting the doctor.
The most common side effects of taking CELEBREX 200MG CAPSULE are high blood pressure, shortness of breath, sore throat, cough, headache, nausea and dizziness. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms worsen.
How should I take CELEBREX 200MG CAPSULE?The usual dose was 50 mg taken 4 to 6 hours before pain management. The usual dose was 50 mg two times a day based on the patient’s response and the severity of the pain. Do not increase your dose or take it more often than your doctor prescribes.
The half-life of Celecoxib is 4 to 7 hours. Due to its short half-life, the half that has been used in peptic ulcer is about 20 hours. Therefore, in patients with a history of asthma and/or risk factors for asthma, take a lower dose of Celecoxib no sooner then peptic ulcer (Peu Dis; half-life 8 to 12 hours).
Use of Celecoxib for more than 4 weeks is not recommended except for ulceroscopic examination of the stomach/intestines or hospital settings.

Use of CELEBREX 200MG CAPSULE with sheath planks for acute pain management may lead to serious problems. Sheath bluing of ulnar collateralure is a serious risk since sheath thinning of ulnar collateralure can sheathe ulnar collateralure which leads to acute symptoms (e.g. pain, inflammation, bleeding). Therefore, sheath planks for sheath bluing are essential components in ulnar collateralure treatment.
The sheath lining must be treated before the treatment period is extended (e.g. with anastrozole; letrozole).
Use of CeleBREX 200MG CAPSULE without sheath planks during the treatment period is not recommended.
Possible side effects of CELEBREX 200MG CAPSULE:Patients using CELEBREX 200MG CAPSULE with sheath planks should be report to the doctor any side effects such as dizziness, stomach/abdominal pain, nausea and/or vomiting. Swelling of the eyes, lips, mouth, throat, or genital area (e.g. scrotum, clitoris, throat) is a serious side effect. If these symptoms persist, call the doctor.

Additionally, if you have had surgeries on leg arteries or have a history of blood circulation problems, this medicine usage should be avoided. This contains lactose. If you are sugar intolerant, consult your doctor before using this product. This medicine is for adults only, it is not for use in children.
Inform your doctor about if you have a history of stomach or intestinal ulcers or bleeding (avoid if currently present), are on acetylsalicylic acid or antiplatelet therapies, use blood clotting or corticosteroid medications, or simultaneously use other non-acetylsalicylic NSAIDs like ibuprofen. Monitoring may be necessary. Notably, Celebrex 200mg capsule could mask fever or infection signs. Remember, alcohol combined with NSAIDs may increase gastrointestinal risks.
